Scaffolding
Prompt 12.30
Are you treating what you’ve learned as the whole truth, or as the helpful starting point it really is?
Most learning begins with simplifications. It has to. Rules, models, and definitions give us structure—something to hold onto when everything feels new. It’s how understanding begins.
But real wisdom comes from knowing those early frames aren’t the destination. They’re scaffolding—temporary supports meant to help you reach the next layer of insight.
The truth often lives one (or more) levels deeper/higher.
So stay open. Keep learning. And if you’re teaching, be honest: this is just the beginning.
